Introduction
WeRide is a ride-sharing app designed exclusively for UCSD students.
We understand that getting around campus can be challenging, especially for students who are new to the area or don't have access to a car. We've created a platform that connects students with reliable and affordable rides with just a few clicks.
With WeRide, students can easily request rides to and from campus and nearby locations. Our app also offers a range of safety features, including background checking for all riders and drivers and customer support to ensure every ride is a secure and stress-free experience.
My Role
As a product designer at UCSD-Triple C, one of my responsibilities is designing logos and promotional materials: I am responsible for creating a strong visual identity by considering the app's target audience and brand values.

Background
When designing a logo for WeRide, it's important to consider the brand values. The logo should be easily recognizable and reflect the app's purpose of providing safe and affordable transportation to students.
To begin the design process, I research UCSD's branding guidelines, color schemes, ride-sharing industry, and popular app logos. The goal was to create a unique logo that stands out in the market while still aligning with UCSD's brand image. The final design incorporates elements of location sharing, transportation, and with and fuses with our brand name. The colors used in the design align with UCSD's official branding guidelines, with a blue-gold evoking a sense of movement and energy.
The resulting logo is a dynamic and eye-catching design that speaks to our mission of providing safe and affordable transportation for UCSD students. It will serve as a strong visual representation of the app and help to build recognition and trust among the student population.
